Fidelis Bonaventure Uzoma is a social entrepreneur passionate
about human and social development. He has over the past 5 years, worked
directly with underserved communities such as children, youths, women
and persons with special needs. He works to solve the problems of youth
underdevelopment, poor access to quality education, illiteracy and poor
conditions of living in rural communities through promoting civic
engagements initiatives, humanitarian effectiveness and empowerment
programs for young people in Sub-sahara Africa towards growth, and
becoming global citizens, ambassadors of change and outstanding leaders.
As a social development practitioner, he is the Founder/Team Lead, for
Young African Diplomats Network, and Executive Director, Diplo-Age
Global Academy where he designs, coordinates and manages the
implementation of human capital development projects targeted at promoting
innovative leadership, soft skills development, quality education, youth development and advocacy for the Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria,
especially in urban and marginalized communities. He also works with the British
Council Nigeria in improving the standards of education of young
Nigerians as well as enhancing the diplomatic relations between the
Nigerian peoples and the United Kindom.
He has worked in different capacities with several civil society
organizations, government agencies, private organizations including Pro
Labore Dei International, All-Nigeria United Nations Students and Youths
Association, Association of World Citizens Youths, international
Students for Sensible Drug Policy, United States Diplomatic Mission,
American Corner Ibadan(ACI), Pro-Volunteers, President Barack Obama
Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), and has demonstrated exemplary
leadership in executing projects bordering on human capital development,
humanitarian outreaches, civic engagements, mentorship, counselling
amongst others.
As a passionate advocate for impact-based development, he has blazed the
trail by his exemplifying feats in civic engagement initiatives. This
include his Soft Skills Training for corporate organisations and young people, community development campaigns, awareness and advocacy;
Charity/Humanitarian Programs (for the rehabilitation of Street
beggars, Wellness Advocacy, Orphanage, and prison outreach); convening meetups for discussions/ training on topical global issues via online
platforms such as Whatsapp, Facebook and Face-to-face Meetup;
mobilizing young professionals and leaders as volunteers for projects
bordering on Career Development, Sexual and Reproductive Health for
Teenagers, Academic Excellence for rural and underserved youths,
Mentorship Program for Teenage Girls/Boys, bridging the gaps in literacy
in public secondary schools, to mention but a few. Through his
organization and in collaboration with the government and international
organizations, Fidelis has in 5 years executed over 25 projects
promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and has
reached and impacted over 20,000 people in Nigeria and beyond. In the
area of education and youth development, 75% of educationally less
privileged students exceeded expectations by achieving up to 80%
academic and all-round success.Some are now in the best tertiary level
institutes and play significant roles as student leaders, startup
founders, thought -leaders and trailblazers in the society. Fidelis'
goal is to reach and impact 2 million underserved youths, women and
children in urban slums and vulnerable communities across Africa by
2026.
As a social entrepreneur and an emerging global leader, Fidelis is a professional soft skill trainer, Lifecoach, facilitator, human capital development practitioner with records of feats in innovative leadership, life skills acquisition, peak perfermance, corporate diplomacy, business management and enterprise development. He is also a promoter of youth development initiatives and excellence, diplomatic
leadership, good governance, civic engagements and impact-driven initiatives. He is savvy in programs
design and sustainability planning, project management, soft-skill
training, youth development strategy, teenage mentorship, blogging and
social networking, team building, conflict resolution,
mediation and peace-keeping strategies, new social media, evaluation and
monitoring of projects, fundraising, and policy
formulation/implementation strategies.
Fidelis holds a Bachelor of Arts (Degree) in Philosophy from the
prestigious University of Ibadan, ( the premier and currently the first
University in Nigeria) and graduated as one of best in his set. He is a
Masters Degree holder (in view), Diplomacy and Strategic Studies,
University of Lagos, Nigeria, and has received many awards for his
impact in the community. This includes his being selected as an African
Award Winner and a fellow of the 2016 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship
Program, Awardee, Crans Montana New Leaders, Switzerland, Most
Diplomatic Youth Leader, Young African Diplomats Network, Pan-African
